Federal Market Intelligence

LaneIQ

Built directly from the same source federal procurement officers use — and built specifically for your business. Your NAICS codes, your state, your set-aside status, your contract size.

Not a generic market average. Yours.

The Intelligence Stack

Every engagement starts with a complete market report scored specifically for your business. From there, the intelligence deepens — analyst context, competitive positioning, deal-side visibility, and for the most active clients, live solicitation monitoring that never stops working.

Core Market Report

We pull every federal contract award in your space, run it through your exact profile — NAICS codes, geography, set-aside status, contract size — and hand you a ranked picture of where the government is spending and where you have the strongest case for winning. Delivered within 48 hours.

Every delivery includes
PDF Executive Report — ranked entry points, agency analysis, and competition landscape in plain English. Built to present, not to decipher.
Excel Workbook — every award in your market for the last 36 months, fully filterable by agency, vendor, dollar amount, and contract type.
Delta Report — starting with your second run, every delivery shows exactly what shifted in the market since your last report.

Strategy Memo

The data shows you the market. The memo tells you what to do with it. After every run, an analyst reads your results and writes a clear brief — what the market is signaling right now, what's changed since your last report, and where your BD attention should go for the next 90 days.

Positioning Report

Your own federal win history mapped against the lanes we've ranked for you. You'll see where you already have real presence, where you're just starting to show up, and where competitors are winning contracts you haven't touched yet. Most clients say this is the most clarifying thing we produce.

Competitor Tracker

A vendor-by-vendor breakdown of market share across your top lanes. Who holds the spend at each agency, how long they've held it, and where concentration is low enough that a well-positioned company can realistically get in. Know your competition before you write a single proposal.

Recompete Radar

Contracts in your top lanes that are approaching rebid — with incumbent names, expiration signals, and a read on whether the window is open or closing. The difference between scrambling when a solicitation drops and already being positioned three months before it does.

On-Demand

Contract Deep Dive

You already know which contract you want. Submit the PIID and we'll pull its full history — 15 years of award data, every modification, every pricing change, and who held it going back as far as the records run. You get a PDF with incumbent tenure, pricing trajectory, historical CAGR, and a projected bid target based on what the government has actually paid. Up to 10 contracts per engagement. Built for when broad market intelligence isn't enough and you need the full story on a specific target.

Who We Are

LaneIQ is federal market intelligence built by Rollins Group LLC — a Nashville-based firm specializing in federal contracting, data systems, and advisory services. Founded by a Harvard University graduate concentrated in Economics and Computer Science.

We process the same USASpending.gov federal procurement database used by enterprise platforms like GovWin IQ, Bloomberg Government, and Deltek — tools that cost $10,000 to $30,000 per year, built for large contractors with full-time analyst teams.

We built something different.

A report scored and ranked specifically for your business and delivered within 48 hours for a fraction of the cost. No software to learn. No contract.

Just intelligence you can act on.

Questions LaneIQ Answers

Click any question to see exactly what the data reveals.

Agency Buyers

Every report maps federal spend by agency for your exact NAICS codes — which agencies are buying, how much they spend per year, how many awards they make, and how your score ranks each one based on your specific profile. Not national averages. Your market, your agencies, ranked for you.

Competition Landscape

Median offer counts across every scored lane show how many companies typically bid on each contract. 71% of lanes in a recent IT consulting report had 3 or fewer bidders. The Competition Landscape section tells you whether you're entering a crowded market or a largely uncontested one — before you spend a dollar on a bid.

Incumbent Concentration

Every lane includes an incumbent lock score — showing what share of spend the top 5 vendors control. A lane where the top 5 hold 90% of spend is a closed market. A lane where they hold 15% is open. LaneIQ labels every agency as Open, Moderate, or High lock so you never mistake a dominated market for an accessible one.

Year-Over-Year Trends

Every report includes year-over-year award and spend data for each NAICS — full calendar year comparisons so you can see whether an agency is expanding its contracting activity or pulling back. Investing 6 months of BD effort into an agency quietly freezing its budget is one of the most common and expensive mistakes in federal contracting. LaneIQ shows you the trend before you commit.

Best Entry Points

Your Best Entry Points are ranked by your specific profile — business type, contract capacity, set-aside status, and pursuit strategy. A $50M contract at an agency where 3 large primes split everything is not a good opportunity for a small business. A $200K contract with 2 offers and no entrenched incumbent might be your best lane. LaneIQ accounts for this.

Recompete Radar

The Recompete Radar scans your top-ranked lanes for contracts approaching rebid — incumbent identification, option year status, and expiration signals. It is the difference between reacting to a solicitation that just dropped and having already positioned yourself three months before it posts.

Positioning Report

The Positioning Report maps your federal win history against your top-ranked lanes — showing where you have strong presence, where you're just beginning to appear, and where competitors are winning without any opposition from you. Most clients say this is the single most clarifying deliverable we produce. It tells you where to double down and where to stop wasting bids.

Competitor Tracker

The Competitor Tracker gives you vendor-by-vendor market share across your top lanes — who holds the most spend, how many years they've held it, and what their concentration looks like. A company with 80% share at one agency and 0% everywhere else is a concentrated incumbent who can be flanked. LaneIQ shows you the full picture lane by lane so you can build an actual competitive strategy, not just a bid list.

Contract Deep Dive

Yes. Submit the contract's PIID and we'll pull 15 years of award history — every modification, every pricing change, every option year exercise, and who held it going back as far as the data runs. You'll receive a PDF with the full story: incumbent tenure, pricing trajectory, annual obligation history, historical CAGR, and a projected bid target. Up to 10 contracts per engagement. Built for companies actively positioning on a specific recompete who need to know what the government has paid — and what they're likely to pay next.

Solicitation Monitor

SAM.gov is checked every night against your monitored lanes. The moment a solicitation posts that matches your agencies, NAICS codes, and set-aside profile, you receive an email alert with the full details — title, agency, closing date, estimated value, and point of contact. Most clients say this is the most operationally impactful feature in the stack. Being first to a solicitation is not a coincidence. It's a system.

Raw Contract Data

Every award in your market for the last 36 months is in your Excel workbook. Vendor name, dollar amount, agency, date, and contract type — fully filterable. You can see exactly what a specific vendor was paid on a specific contract at a specific agency in a specific year. That is your competitive landscape in raw form — and most of your competitors have never looked at it.

Set-Aside Distribution

LaneIQ breaks down every lane by set-aside type — SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), Small Business, and Full and Open. You can see exactly what percentage of contracts in your target agencies carry set-aside designations, which types are most active, and which specific lanes are restricted to your certification category. If you have a set-aside status, this tells you where it gives you a structural advantage.

Plan Structure

A one-time report gives you a complete market picture right now — useful for initial market validation, entering a new space, or understanding a market before committing to a BD strategy. A recurring plan runs your profile every 91 days, adds a Strategy Memo and Delta Report, includes the Recompete Radar on every delivery, and gives you access to your client portal with live lane rankings, submission history, and add-on products. Most clients start with a one-time report and move to recurring after the first delivery.

Data Confidence

Not all agencies report offer counts consistently. LaneIQ includes an offer data coverage score for every NAICS — showing what share of awards actually had offer counts reported. Low coverage is flagged explicitly with a confidence label so you never make a targeting decision based on incomplete signal. High confidence means 80% or more of awards reported offer counts.
